P’tit Habibiwith kids: our honest review
Riad, Medina, Marrakech, Morocco
- City
- One room for four
Our verdict: A five-room riad that feels like a friend’s home in the medina, with a rooftop pool and a cook in the kitchen. Best with kids you can keep a hand on.
A five-room riad in the quiet, local north of the Marrakech medina, made by an architect who first used it as his family’s holiday home. Hand-painted furniture, carved plaster, vintage lamps and a pinball machine turned into a mirror: part 1960s Marrakech, part Scandinavian calm. It feels like staying in a friend’s house, with a cook in the kitchen and mint tea on arrival.
Full disclosure: P’tit Habibi belongs to a friend of ours. We paid for our stay, and we would recommend it either way.
Tested by us. Stayed in November 2024, before heading to the coast, with our kids aged 2 and 3. Page checked .

Why we love it
- The Hazy Moon suite: the largest room, with a sculpted ceiling, its own tadelakt hammam with a bathtub, and a private roof terrace looking at the Atlas Mountains.
- A rooftop pool for hot afternoons and a splash pool in the house, plus sunset on the terrace with the whole medina below.
- Breakfast and mint tea included, and lunch or dinner cooked in-house on request, served in the courtyard, on the roof or in your room.
- Small enough to rent entirely: up to ten guests, perfect for two families travelling together.
